Position Overview:

  • This Position description is for a Summer Internship Position within the Finance NA Region Accounts Receivable department. This 40 hour / week position will be responsible for assisting the AR staff across multiple job functions within the department. Benefits to the company include the following: adding additional low-cost hours added to the department, adding a fresh perspective from a new student who may bring unique solutions to existing problems, allowing existing department employees some respite during the summer months and offering the opportunity for personal or vacation time off without resulting in an undue burden of work upon their return.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include the following:
  • Customer Collection Calls and documentation                      20%
  • Reprint Invoices - ERP's - Movex, Oracle and Mapics          20%
  • Customer Statements                                                             20%
  • Customer Websites/Portals                                                    20%
  • Customer research - aging items                                           10%
  • Filing and other duties and tasks as required                        10%
  • No independent judgement or decision making will be required. This position will be fully supervised by the Customer and Collections manager.
  • This position will assist in the accounts receivable management of over $40 million in monthly collections on a customer base of approximately 250 active customers

Supervision Received:

  • Reports to NA Credit & Collections Manager
  • Regular daily supervision will be provided by the NA Credit & Collections Manager as well other experienced AR Technicians within the department

Supervision Exercised:

  • This position will not be responsible for any supervisor duties.

Qualifications & Skills:

REQUIRED:

  • Must be enrolled in an accounting program at an accredited university
  • Grade Point Average of 3.5 or above
  • Our ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, meets deadlines, manages multiple projects and displays energy, enthusiasm and a positive helpful attitude.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite products is desired
  • Experience in a customer service environment is desired
  • Experience using a modern ERP system is desired but not essential.

  • Note these are desired experience traits – not essential - we will provide training as necessary
