- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Prepare and consolidate financial reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Manage payroll processing, payroll taxes, and benefits reconciliation in coordination with HR
- Collaborate with the Contracts and Billing teams to streamline and enhance the order-to-cash and contract renewal processes
- Apply SaaS-specific accounting principles including revenue recognition (ASC 606), CECL, and capitalization of software development costs
- Conduct periodic audits and maintenance of customer and vendor accounts
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local financial and tax regulations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts as needed
- Perform ad hoc financial projects and tasks as assigned by executive leadership
- Travel occasionally for team meetings, conferences, or training sessions (estimated <15%)

- Ability to work both autonomously as well as within a team in a remote work environment
- As a requirement, all candidates must be physically based in the United States and able to legally work for any employer
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required with at least 2 years in a leadership role strongly preferred
- Experience working in a SaaS or Tech company (GovTech, FinTech, HealthTech, EduTech, etc.) strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Strong competency with the Microsoft Office suite including advanced MS Excel skills
- Advance knowledge of QuickBooks and NetSuite (or comparable ERP)
- Knowledge of CRM tools. Experience with Salesforce or HubSpot strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional team leaders and other key stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills paired with excellent collaboration skills
