The Department of African American Studies seeks a dedicated teacher-scholar with demonstrated or the potential of teaching excellence for the academic year, 2025-2026. The position is for one-year and has a six-course teaching load for the academic year (3-3). We are particularly interested in scholars who have a foundational background in African American Studies. Successful candidates will teach Introduction to African American Studies along with Upper Division courses that explore the African American experience in their field of expertise. Demonstration of successfully teaching African American History is strongly preferred.
