Primary 1st shift M-F

Responsible for the overall direction, management and control of assigned site and/or modality.  Directs staff and procedures in quality patient care.

Major Responsibilities:
Develops and implements best practices that will assist the organization in meeting or exceeding productivity, caregiver engagement, financial, quality and patient loyalty target outcomes and better manage resources. Ensures that utilization of all resources is optimal (i.e. staffing, supplies, etc).

Collaborates with educators in providing and maintaining a quality orientation program for employees within the department.

Develops and enhances new programs and services, site projects, standardized competencies, policies and procedures.

Works in collaboration with the imaging services directors and leaders across Aurora Health Care, responsible for the overall direction of post processing, management and control of assigned Site and/or Modality Section for the system. Directs assigned staff and procedures in quality patient care.

Recommends, develops, implements and maintains Quality Assurance (QA) and Performance Improvement programs, which include evaluation of costs, patient care, and radiation or patient safety in all areas of responsibility.

Responsible for adhering to all federal, state and local laws and regulations governing the technical and clinical practice of Radiology. Responsible for the adherence to all the Joint Commission and Nuclear Regulatory Commission standards governing the technical and clinical practice of radiology. Ensures all areas fully meet compliance and quality standards as defined by applicable agencies.

Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.

Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.

Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.

Education/Experience Required:
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology, or Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine. Experience Required: Typically requires 5 years of experience in imaging or nuclear medicine. Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in management of staff, budgets and multiple imaging functions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Knowledge of various imaging modalities, health care administration and general business principles. Strong decision making and critical thinking skills. Significant successful high-level interaction with medical staff. Strong skills in diplomacy and conflict resolution at various levels within the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and staff. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products. Ability to work independently.


Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required: Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin, or Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (CNMT) issued by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Pay Range

$50.05 - $75.10
