Location details: This role is fully remote but will require frequent travel (Up to 50% or more).
Evans is hiring an associate consultant resource to join their team in one of their growing contracts with the Department of Defense. We are seeking a dynamic professional with a strong background in training, curriculum development, and program evaluation, preferably with experience within the federal or defense sectors.
- Conduct approximately 30 site visits per year to locations across the U.S., including Guam and Puerto Rico.
- Support and/or facilitate training workshops for program directors and instructors, focusing on curriculum relevancy, teaching techniques, and professional development.
- Review and assess existing lesson plans and recommend updates aligned with educational goals and emerging technologies.
- Support the development of an annual program effectiveness report, including data collection, analysis, and drafting.
- Assist in strategic communications and outreach.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and performance enhancement strategies for STARBASE sites.
- Support the expansion of afterschool and outreach programs, including those serving Native American communities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant DoD regulations, educational standards, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Policy, STEM, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program evaluation, compliance, or curriculum support, preferably within a DoD or government-regulated environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of DoD policies and educational program standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 50% of the time) for site visits.
- Strong technical review skills and experience.
- Preferred experience improving quality, efficiency, and effectiveness by which client program information is shared and communicated.

Compensation
Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Evans’s total compensation package for employees.
