We are currently looking for a Principal AI Evangelist to support our contract with the DRAID CDAO ADA IR Program.
As a Principal AI Evangelist at Agile Defense, you will be responsible for leading efforts to promote the adoption and understanding of AI technologies. This role will act as a bridge between technical teams, business leaders, mission stakeholders, and technologists and the broader AI community, to shape how AI transforms industries in support of national defense priorities.
Responsibilities/Duties:
· Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate complex AI concepts into accessible, real-world value stories
· Educate internal stakeholders, partners, and clients about AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations
· Build and nurture a community of AI practitioners, developers, and enthusiasts around contract platforms or offerings
· Create and deliver compelling presentations, demos, and content showcasing our AI initiatives
· Stay current with AI research, tools, and industry trends; provide insights and thought leadership to influence our roadmap
· Document and understand organization Data Science (DS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) training programs
· Identify Digital Services training gaps, offer trainings to fill those respective gaps
· Standardize processes for training on tools developed.
· Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to influence design decisions
· Provide ongoing tailored and on demand training to organization personnel on the technology stacks
· Collaborate with individual organization and stakeholders to gather documentation on local hosting and data architecture relative to AI requirements
· Conduct research to identify policies, directorates, stakeholders to design resources to develop feasible, viable and desirable solution through collaboration with engineering teams
· Assist CDAO Developers, Data Stewards, Software Architects and Product Managers to produce AI Technology roadmaps
· Understand organization integration opportunities, scope requirements, and assess alternatives
· Perform continuous discovery and recommend projects for backlog prioritization
· Recommend community tools to support Stakeholders and organization AI Development including Wikis, Software Engineering Tools such as Github, forums, and other means
· Provide research, modeling, technical analysis, and technical writing support
Required Skills/Qualifications:
· Expected to possess proficiency in manipulating data for analytical assessments; be proficient with tools and programming languages such as Excel, Python, and SQL. Tools like PowerBI or Tableau are a plus.
· Experience with generative AI, LLMs, or enterprise AI platforms
· Understanding of the ethical and societal implications of AI
· 6+ years of experience with data analytics, data engineering, statistical analysis, or artificial intelligence and machine learning
· Experience developing and documenting organizational standards for Data Storage, Data Transformation, and Metadata Management
· Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction
· Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, information systems, engineering, or other related technical discipline.
