As an Environment Modeling Senior Artist, you will be involved in many aspects of the film’s visual development, working in coordination with Production Designer and Art department to deliver a visually impressive look.


Responsibilities
  • Models utilizing photography and pre-existing models.
  • Models from concepts following the look of the show.
  • Creates, adapts, and iterates within a variety of artistic styles.
  • Models trees, bushes and other vegetation with the look of the movie.
  • Researches and works independently in the absence of concept art.
  • Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment.
  • Works together with the team, providing them with support, guidance and instruction in areas that contribute towards their artistic and professional growth.
  • Follows the Supervisor’s and Lead's guidance.


    • Requirements
  • 5+ years in VFX or animation industries.
  • 3+ years in the animation industry.
  • Strong artistic or/and technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.
  • Extensive experience with Maya.
  • Experience with Zbrush, Arnold Render.
  • Extensive Knowledge of SpeedTree and vegetation modeling is required for this project. Being able to model heavily art-directed vegetation assets, both realistic and stylized.
  • Knowledge of Houdini, Marvelous Designer and USD workflows are pluses.
  • Knowledge of skinning, rigging, technical constraints and optimization.
  • High English level.
  • Spanish desired.
