Job Summary: 1-year non-reimbursable assignment DHS Cyber Crimes Center Immigration Officer Series Requested: 1801 Security Clearance: TS Virtual/Remote: No Only current, full-time federal employees are eligible. Major Duties:

  • Position Responsibilities: - Serve as the liaison between USCIS and DHS's Cyber Crimes Center (C3) - Provide investigative case support to HSI, and various federal agencies embedded with the C3 Cyber Crime Unit (CCU), by researching USCIS databases, providing immigration histories, timelines, and information from benefit requests - Assist with victim identification processes using C3 tools - Assist USCIS personnel by conducting research on child sexual exploitation leads and tips received from internal and external sources - Represent FDNS, and FDNS programs and equities, at various C3 briefings, and attend high-level working groups related to combatting child exploitation and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) - Provide USCIS and FDNS-specific training and provide technical expertise to C3 personnel and embedded federal partners - Alert FDNS leadership and USCIS personnel to important trends or threats involving CSAM.

Qualifications: Qualifications required: To qualify for this detail, you must have experience with the following: Conducting systems-based research including within FDNS NexGen, TECS, UPAX, CIS2 Extracting and analyzing bulk data and data dashboards (e.g. Tableau, Databricks, SMART, or SAS) Analyzing immigration-related data to assess and prioritize cases Handling sensitive information and materials, including explicit material on occasion, and discussing sensitive topics with discretion and professionalism Liaising and collaborating with leadership and internal and external stakeholders Coordinating and responding to informal and formal requests for information Awareness of USCIS organizational responsibilities and points-of-contact.
