Hours: 35 hours per week

Status: 12 months, fixed-term

The Impact Officer role is a unique 12-month opportunity, partly covering 6 months of parental leave for the Impact Lead, as well as 6 months working alongside them.

This role is essential for ensuring SSE meets its impact, data, and evaluation needs during the parental leave period. Additionally, there is scope to enhance SSE’s approach to impact evaluation and learning, including expanding our research and policy initiatives.

This position is perfect for someone motivated by making a tangible difference through research and impact and insight. We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and experienced using data in a professional capacity.

Why work for us?

SSE is a vibrant organisation; we work entrepreneurially and are committed to providing quality learning opportunities for social entrepreneurs, community businesses and social sector leaders. Working here is engaging, exciting and demanding. If you are someone who enjoys creating solutions and contributing your ideas you’ll enjoy how we work.

At SSE, everyone’s ideas are welcome for how we can learn and improve. People at all levels contribute ideas for our future, and we collaborate with our UK teams and international teams to share best practice. We like to enjoy good times together too, because changing the world is an exciting task that’s worth celebrating!

We want to work with (and continue to develop) individuals who can embody and demonstrate the following values and mindset:

We are always learning

We are collaborative

We are entrepreneurial

We are inclusive

We are trusting

Aside from that, we have a great range of benefits and opportunities to get involved in the life of SSE. Our team are spread nationwide and we are supportive of flexible, remote and hybrid working.

Equality and Diversity

Diversity is a fact of life. Inclusion is a choice and a practice – for organisations and individuals. At the School for Social Entrepreneurs, our aim is to drive inclusion into every area and activity of what we do: from access to programmes, to grant investment, to board, staff and partnerships.

However you identify, we would like to hear from you. In our commitment to continue to diversify our teams, freelance staff and programmes, we are particularly keen to hear from those who identify as: being from black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) backgrounds; LGBTQ+; and those with disabilities.

If you require any reasonable adjustments during our recruitment processes, including assistance with reading this page or documents linked to below, please contact [email protected].

Application

The deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 18th November 2024.

Expressing interest in the role, we'll ask you to share your CV and tell us why you are interested in the role and what would make you a great fit.
