Together with this remote, cross-functional team, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and operations of features that will extend Camunda Web Modeler. The Web Modeler allows our customers to design, and implement Business Processes and Decisions Models in a collaborative way. As Engineering Manager of the team, you will:

• Lead a team of 4 motivated Java and JavaScript Engineers
• Take overall responsibility for the technical product - ensuring quality and high velocity
• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and Engineering to plan, scope, design, implement, and deploy changes
• Ensure productivity by setting-up, and continuously improving processes which define how the team works
• Lead the team by example: have the ability and motivation to operatively support the team with critical implementation and architecture tasks

What You Bring:

• Strong background in Engineering: 5+ years of hands-on Engineering experience
• At least 3 years of experience of either direct people management in technical teams or technical leadership (e.g., leading technical complex epics)
• At least 3 years of experience working in a professional software application development environment
• Knowledge of Java
• Ability to build good and strong relationships with your reports and peers alike, building trust and creating a positive work environment around you
• Strong and proven track of problem-solving skills, helping your team to overcome challenges as they arise, be they technical or organizational
• You thrive in taking ownership of the codebase, as well as how you deploy and operate software. You are comfortable with the “you build it, you run it” mindset.
• Ability and/or willingness to use our product

Nice-to-haves:

• Knowledge of Javascript
• Experience working with BPMN
• Experience delivering a product for Self-Managed as well as SaaS deployments
• Experience working with Kubernetes and Google Cloud

Total Cash refers to base salary and 100% attainment of variable target, where applicable. Actual Total Cash offered will depend on factors such as skills and qualifications related to the role. To comprise the Total Rewards package, Camunda also offers equity (where applicable) in the form of a Virtual Employee Stock Option Plan and benefits based on the country of residence.The annual Total Cash range for this position for Camundi in our entities is as follows:

• United States: $152,100.00 to $228,100.00
• Germany: €101,200.00 to €151,700.00
• United Kingdom: £98,600.00 to £147,900.00
• Singapore: S$188,900.00 to S$283,300.00
