The Business Analyst collaborates with business functional areas and IT staff to research, analyze, and document business and system requirements to bring continuous value to PLTW’s customers, team members, and innovation initiatives. This role is essential in ensuring that systems, software, and processes meet the needs and expectations of customers, both internal and external, in alignment with PLTW’s strategic objectives.


PLTW IS SEEKING CANDIDATES WITH:

  • An Associate degree in management information systems or a related field of study, or equivalent related experience.
  • Experience defining requirements for data initiatives and reporting.
  • Proficiency with issue tracking systems (i.e. JIRA, Confluence) and Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships between technology teams and PMO resources.
  • The ability to research and document business needs and create documentation to support user stories.
  • The ability to collaborate with other IT Teams to ensure all are working toward the appropriate goals for the business.
  • Experience managing backlogs, developing user stories, processing diagrams, and other models to clarify the desired solutions.
  • Experience identifying common requests/needs across the organization and collaborating with others to prevent duplicative efforts/systems, building efficiencies, and alignment.
  • The desire to contribute to the successful implementation, validation, delivery, and adoption of defined solutions.
  • The ability to analyze and define “As Is” and “To Be” business processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior presentation skills.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a remote-first team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be detail-oriented.
  • Creative and critical thinking with a concentration on being flexible and adaptable.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to adapt to changing priorities with ease and efficiency.
  • The ability to occasionally travel.
