Job Summary

Keyrus is seeking an experienced SAP Business Objects (BO) Specialist preferrably with expertise in Business Objects Web Intelligence 4.3 to support our team in updating a suite of BO reports. This role is critical to ensuring that our reports continue to function effectively following a database migration from Oracle to Snowflake, which introduced specific challenges due to differences in how trailing spaces are handled between the two systems.

This position is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and update approximately 200 Business Objects Web Intelligence reports impacted by changes related to the Oracle-to-Snowflake migration.
• Address issues caused by the migration, particularly where the conversion of Oracle NVarchar data types to Snowflake Varchar led to reports breaking or returning incorrect results due to missing trailing spaces.
• Modify reports to adjust:
• Parameters/conditions
• Report variables
• Filters
• Input controls
• Hints
• Work closely with development, testing, and deployment teams to ensure smooth updates and report functionality.
• Rigorously test updated reports to ensure data integrity and performance, and deploy the updates through the appropriate process.
  
  

Requirements For The Role

• Strong expertise in Business Objects Web Intelligence (we are using BO 4.3).
• Proven experience in updating and maintaining large numbers of BO reports.
• Attention to detail with the ability to thoroughly investigate and resolve issues.
• Experience working within development and testing cycles, including deployment to production environments.
• Understanding of database structures and reporting mechanisms, particularly related to differences between Oracle and Snowflake databases.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and address report-breaking issues related to the migration.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with Oracle and Snowflake databases will be a plus.
• Familiarity with data type conversions, especially NVarchar to Varchar will be a big plus.
• Fluent in English
• Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal.
