Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
- Assist in designing and building a modern, automated, event-based communications platform (full stack).
- Contribute to the development of supplementary data-related features on the investment platform website (full stack).
- Help build a modern, democratized data platform within a larger data ecosystem.
Support and Collaboration:
- Provide ongoing support for existing and new data and communication platforms.
- Collaborate with teams of software engineers, data engineers, and analysts.
- Work closely with IT Heads, Engineering Leads, and Product Owners to define and execute IT strategies.
- Build strong relationships within technology and across the wider business through delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as C#, Python, Angular, and SQL.
- 2+ years of experience with:
- Integration technologies (e.g., REST APIs, Data Factory, Glue, Function Apps).
- Data storage technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Blob storage).
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with web front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Desire to work with modern data technologies (e.g., Databricks, Fabric, Data Lakes, Spark, GraphQL).
- Knowledge of modern reporting tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Understanding of modern event technologies such as Event Grids.
Certifications:
- Associate to expert-level cloud and/or data certifications from Microsoft, AWS, or GCP are advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Asset Management or Financial Services industries.
- Interest and experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
