We are seeking an experienced and skilled programmer with solid proficiency in Natural programming language for a 10-month assignment working remotely anywhere in the US.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain the Mainframe Natural program and JCL to meet project and operational needs. You will also work with project and operations teams to develop necessary analysis and documentation collaboratively.

Responsibilities include:

• Adhere to change control processes and procedures defined by the client.
• Interface with business and IT teams to understand business needs and translate requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.
• Together with application users, identify the possibility of automating existing manual processes through the data integration of mainframe and external (non-mainframe) systems.
• Work with IT support teams to ensure support and project requirements are developed and implemented successfully.
• Develop and execute unit test and system test plans to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
• Responsible for full System Development Life Cycle.
• Develop or assist-in developing test plans and test activities and/or execute test components to ensure new programs meet business requirements and function as needed.
• Review and assist in reviewing documentation and performing quality assurance to ensure compliance with program requirements and procedural standards for the assigned project.
• Maintain a reliable and predictable work schedule and be available to work outside of normal business hours to sustain operations or complete urgent assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned to maintain IT operations.
