About the job

Fingerprint empowers developers to stop online fraud at the source.

We work on turning radical new ideas in the fraud detection space into reality. Our products are developer-focused and our clients range from solo developers to publicly traded companies. We are a globally dispersed, 100% remote company with a strong open-source focus. Our flagship open-source project is FingerprintJS (20K stars on GitHub).

We have raised $77M and are backed by Craft Ventures (previously invested in Tesla, Facebook, Airbnb ), Nexus Venture Partners (previously invested in Postman, Apollo.io, MinIO, Druva) and Uncorrelated Ventures (previously invested in Redis, Rollbar & Gradle).

As a Product Analyst, your primary goal is to help product management, engineering, and other teams understand user engagement by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to optimize product performance and guide design decisions. You'll take ownership of analysis throughout the entire product lifecycle—from design to delivery—and establish a feedback loop to drive future improvements and new initiatives.

A successful candidate will leverage data to evaluate current processes, identify requirements, and provide data-driven recommendations that lead to rapid, scalable solutions. We value innovation, creativity, and practical solutions that accelerate our progress. In return, you'll have the autonomy and freedom to bring your ideas to life.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Product Analysis: Own the end-to-end product analysis process, from designing specifications to supporting product development and delivery. You'll review and provide feedback on new features and product changes, collaborate on Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), and consult with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers on analytical needs. This requires understanding the product's current state, data capture methods, subscription data models, data quality principles, and Amplitude's Data Governance practices.
  • Self-Serve Dashboards: Create self-serve dashboards in Preset and/or Sigma Computing to help teams understand product usage and answer recurring questions through big data analysis.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Respond to queries from across the organization by analyzing existing data and generating insights. This may involve using digital and BI tools or querying data with SQL.
  • Experiments & A/B Testing: Design and analyze experiments, A/B tests, and more using Amplitude Experiment.
  • Data Review & Enhancement: Identify missing data points and potential data quality issues that impact analytics and experiments, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Support Data Modeling: Collaborate with engineers on changes to the physical data model, ensuring they support both short- and long-term analytics needs.
  • KPIs & Metrics: Help define key success metrics for products and enable teams to track progress effectively.

Requirements:

  • Previous SaaS and Product Led Growth startup experience (preferably series A-C)
  • 1-2+ years of experience working in a data role in a SaaS company
  • Experience analyzing and modeling large, complex data sets and providing business insights on customer behavior and actions (cause and effect)
  • Previous experience in data science, data analysis, experimentation, and knowledge of business statistics
  • Tooling experience (specifically Amplitude, Redshift, SQL, PostSQL, Sigma, Preset)
  • Preferably a degree in Sociology, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Physics

Offers vary depending on, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, certifications/licenses, skills, training, and market conditions.
