Would you like to make a difference to the lives of people with a learning disability in Salisbury and South Wiltshire? If so we have three volunteer Trustee vacancies available and would love to hear from you.
What difference will you make?
South Wilts Mencap is an independent local charity which supports people with learning disabilities in Salisbury and South Wilts, inspiring them to achieve their full potential and enabling them and their families to lead fuller lives. We offer clubs, events, activities, holidays and day trips. We also offer grants to help those living with a learning disability to do and experience things which otherwise would be extremely difficult to access. This is a very rewarding, exciting and interesting opportunity to help our community who always appreciate and embrace all that we offer. We also have a wonderful charity shop solely run by volunteers.
What are we looking for?
We welcome anyone who has the enthusiasm and interest in our organisation and who is willing to offer their time and commitment to South Wilts Mencap. If you do have any of the skills below we would love to hear from you.
What will you be doing?
The role We are looking for people to help us enable and inspire the learning disabled community of Salisbury and South Wiltshire. Our board has three volunteer trustee vacancies providing the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to get involved in supporting and enhancing the lives of our local LD community. No particular expertise is necessary but we are especially keen to hear from people with experience in the following areas – Community relations – Retail (to support our shop at 16 Catherine Street) – Business Development – Human resources – Fundraising We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
