WHAT’S THE JOB?

NewWave, a Technology company with 20 years in the Federal contracting space, is seeking a highly skilled, entrepreneurial and motivated individual who combines Contract Administration and Proposal Development experience to join our entrepreneurial team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supporting the development of government proposals, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Experience working in a start-up environment, wearing multiple hats, a positive can-do attitude and thriving on the “win” will set you apart. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills and a drive to win. Identifying issues, risks, but most importantly, bringing solutions to the table is the key to success.

Contract Administration

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO

  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS).
  • Manage the full lifecycle of government contracts, from award to closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including deliverables, milestones, and reporting requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance and collaborate with teams to solve any issues or disputes that arise.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.

Proposal Development Support

  • Understands and embraces the need to be on the constant lookout for what Contract Vehicles are coming out by various Agencies, and identifying the ones NW needs to pursue.
  • Identifies Small Businesses that we should partner with both as prime and sub.
  • Assists with Contract Officer communications - especially in follow up to submitted RFIs/Sources Sought, to support the shaping of the RFP and of our proposed solution.
  • Jumps in wherever needed to help us win new contracts/task orders/work.
  • Reviews proposal content, including technical, management, and cost sections to assure compliance.

Compliance And Risk Management

  • Stay current with government regulations and policies related to proposal development and contract administration.
  • Ensure all proposals and contracts comply with solicitation requirements, applicable laws and regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with proposals and contracts.

Communication And Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies and clients regarding proposals and contracts.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on proposal development and contract administration best practices.
  • Bring solutions when compliance requirements influence innovation.

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING TO NEWWAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in government proposal development and contract administration.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and appreciation that we all must wear multiple hats and be Solution oriented, not simply compliance focused.
  • A passion for proposal development - be all in to create winning proposals that meet compliance requirements.
  • Experience and detail oriented with contracts administration, NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Contracts, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software.
  • Ability to work well with a team and independently.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Positive energy and attitude, bringing the vision of how to succeed and deliver a viable path forward.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or equivalent certification.
  • Certification or demonstrated Experience with the Shipley Method.
  • Experience with Federal and State level contract management.
