As our Treasurer you will be a vital part of our senior team dedicated to ensuring good financial governance underpins our Prize campaigns and Awards to promote our causes for change for the better to the wider world.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications Chartered accountant Skills Experienced treasurer Experienced in financial governance in both the corporate and not-for-profit sector Financial strategist Excellent presentation and communication skills working with front-line staff, management and board members, especially in a remote working environment. Excellent analytical and organisational skills Team player with a positive attitude Experience Experience of working with a C.I.C. a distinct advantage but not obligatory Knowledge of applicable tax is an additional benefit but not obligatory If you don't possess all the skills requested but feel you are a strong candidate nevertheless please do apply as you will be part of a team with a broad skillset.
What will you be doing?
Responsibility Advising and managing financial governance Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable Manage and deliver all annual and statutory financial reporting requirements Prepare materials and presentations for attendance at board meetings. Manage the annual budgeting process Manage financial models Assist in the annual financial audit as required Ensure compliance with accepted accounting principles (UK GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Make improvements to the design of management accounts and financial reports, as required
