At our core, we develop and publish games to bring quality gaming experiences to players across multiple platforms. We focus on premium, rather than free-to-play games, and we've a portfolio of over 100 games, including iconic titles such as Worms, Overcooked, Hell Let Loose and Dredge. The games we publish top the charts on most gaming platforms and we have won many awards from BAFTAs to Golden Joysticks, as well as winning Publisher of the Year at the esteemed Develop Star Awards.
Our company is the largest and longest-standing entity within Team17 Group Plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM market) and includes our sister companies StoryToys and Astragon.
We are looking to grow our Business Intelligence team to support the publishing functions in particular commercial, marketing, and product acquisition, through insightful commercial analysis and reporting.
You'll be helping us to achieve our ambition of Delivering pioneering indie games that players around the world will love for a lifetime.
What Will You Do...
- Undertake detailed analysis of market data, providing insights into sales, marketing, pricing, and other key performance indicators.
- Create predictive data models to assist with forecasting the performance of games signed to the label, and support business decision making.
- Create commercial analysis of titles under review to be signed, including benchmarking, genre analysis and commercial fit.
- Undertake impact analysis, using insights to create models predicting the likely impact on sales and game play metrics of various commercial activities.
- Partner with key business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements, and creation of data solutions using analytical software.
- Analyse market data and provide key insights into popularity of genres, growing/shrinking regions and highlighting opportunities.
- Highly experienced in Microsoft Power BI Software and Excel
- Knowledgeable in reporting structure and design within Power BI
- Experience of working with large datasets and mathematical analysis
- Significant experience in a similar analytical role
- Strong interpersonal skills when partnering with stakeholders
- An interest in the video games sector
- We'd be thrilled if you also have experience with Microsoft VBA!
- Willingness to travel for in person team meetings as required

The interview process for the Commercial Analyst is made up of 3 stages:
- Stage One - Screening (30 minutes) - You'll initially meet with Talent Acquisition. This is a great opportunity to talk through your experience and ask any questions about the Commercial Analyst role
- Stage Two - Interview (60 minutes+) - An interview with our Finance Director (line manager) and Sales & Forecasting Analyst to explore your analytical experience and an opportunity to meet the team.
- Stage Three - Interview (60 minutes+) - An interview with wider stakeholders from across the business which provides you with an overview of the roles interdependence and how we collaborate.
