About The Role

The job involves seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Software Solution Sales Engineer to join a growing team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical solutions and client needs, providing pre-sales technical support and guidance. The role requires close collaboration with the sales team to understand customer requirements, demonstrate tailored software solutions, and drive successful sales outcomes.


Responsibilities

Technical Sales Support

- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify customer needs and technical requirements.

- Provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle, including presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) activities.

- Develop and deliver compelling technical proposals and solution designs that address customer challenges.


Solution Design and Customization

- Work with clients to understand their business processes and technical requirements, translating these into effective software solutions.

- Customize and configure software solutions to meet specific client needs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

- Collaborate with the product development team to provide customer feedback and suggest enhancements.


Customer Engagement

- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, addressing technical questions and concerns throughout the sales process.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs and long-term objectives.

- Conduct technical workshops, training sessions, and webinars for customers and partners.


Proposal and Documentation

- Prepare detailed technical proposals, including cost estimates, implementation plans, and technical specifications.

- Develop and maintain a library of sales support materials, including case studies, white papers, and technical guides.

- Assist in the preparation of RFP/RFI responses, ensuring all technical requirements are thoroughly addressed.


Collaboration and Communication

- Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation.

- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.

- Provide regular updates to sales management on technical sales activities and progress.


Requirements

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.


Experience

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales or pre-sales engineering role, preferably in the software or technology industry.

- A background in land management and ROW projects is preferred but not required.

- Proven track record of supporting complex software sales and delivering successful customer solutions.

- Strong knowledge of software development, cloud computing, SaaS, and enterprise software solutions.

- Knowledge of the energy and utilities industry is a bonus.


Skills

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about customer needs and solutions.

- Proficiency in programming languages, databases, and software development methodologies is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
