The Field Service Technicia would operate in our own network of sites & key customers, covering the repair and maintenance of the meters and pumping equipment that supply fuel between the depot and our fleet while also undertaking audits and checks on tanks & other critical equipment.

The role will also support the operations team to ensure the sites remain operational and check all compliance is being always adhered to whilst assisting with cost control and working with maintenance contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency assistance to both internal and external customers, finding both short and long term solutions to issues.
• Tasks supporting the company’s compliance include; assisting the engineering and fleet team to ensure that our operation follows all relevant legal and internal policies and regulations. Ensuring the companies remedial and preventative maintenance regime is implemented in the field.
• Undertake regular depot audits, spot checks both randomly and planned, quality monitoring and compliance reviews.
• To assist in contractor work approvals by auditing and quality monitoring
• To assist in meetings as needed with contractors to discuss noncompliance to contract, cost control or standards of workmanship.
• Ensure that an effective relationship is maintained with all internal customers.
• Promote a positive Health and Safety culture.
• Comply with relevant site rules when visiting Company or contractor locations/sites.
• Responsible for personal safety, that of the team, colleagues, contractors, visitors and customers within the workplace
  
  

Travel Requirements

• The role will be to assist in covering the company network nationally.
• Travel throughout the UK (mainly England and Wales) will be required.
• Overnights will be required.
• Full UK Clean Driving Licence essential.
  
  

Education

Essential

• A relevant technical qualification such as an NVQ/ONC/HNC/HND in an engineering discipline
  
  

Desirable

• Registered with Weights and measures to calibrate, verify and reseal metering systems.
• CSCS or Equivalent Card
• SPA Passport to Safety
  
  

Work Experience

• Background or Understanding of Fuel Tank or Vehicle regulations (Desirable)
• Understanding of Pumping and Metering systems (Desirable)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
