Join our client's team as a Data Engineer and play a key role in building and optimizing data pipelines that support the company’s mission to revolutionize renewable energy solutions. You'll work closely with a small, dynamic team where your impact will be felt across the organization. If you have a passion for both engineering and analytics, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
As a Data Engineer, your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Python and SQL. Ensure reliable data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Database Management: Manage and optimize the data warehouse on AWS Redshift. Implement best practices for database management.
- Data Integration: Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate and process large datasets, using tools like Apache Spark and AWS Glue.
- Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy and consistency. Establish and enforce data governance standards.
- Collaboration with Analytics: Provide data support for BI tools like Tableau and Looker. Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts for automating data processing tasks, utilizing Python and Bash.
- Data Science Support: Collaborate with data scientists on machine learning models and advanced analytics projects, contributing to feature engineering and model deployment.
Your Profile:
We’re looking for someone technically proficient with a strong interest in data-driven decision-making.
- Experience: Ca 3-6 years in data engineering. Experience in data analytics or data science is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue), and Apache Spark.
- Database Management: Strong knowledge of database design and management, especially in cloud-based data warehouses.
- Data Pipeline Tools: Experience with ETL tools like Airflow or similar.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to collaborate with data analysts and scientists, supporting them with robust data solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex data issues.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working in a remote-first environment with excellent communication skills.
- Passion for Sustainability: Genuine interest in renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
