Project Description

The project's goal is to take over Backbase development from Backbase and build a team that will continuously enhance and support this platform for our client.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the knowledge transfer process and ensure a smooth transition to the client's team.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team.
  • Help scale and grow the team working under supervision.
  • Design, develop, and maintain additional integrations and features.
  • Ensure high-quality code and adherence to best development practices.
  • Oversee and guide the implementation of microservices architecture.
  • Work on enhancing and supporting fintech integrations, including Mambu.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical solutions.
  • Ensure system security and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of production-level experience with Java;
  • Knowledge of Spring and Spring extensions, like Web MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Security;
  • Experience with SOAP and RESTful Web Services and tools like XML, JSON, and RAML;
  • Microservices architecture knowledge;
  • Experience performing Unit Testing using JUnit;
  • Knowledge of application Servers like Tomcat, WebSphere, Weblogic, or JBoss;
  • Strong grasp of Git, Subversion and other source control technologies;
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns and frameworks like Apache Camel;
  • Experience developing large-scale distributed systems;
  • Experience working on a SaaS platform or with Service-Oriented Architectures;
  • Experience with cloud technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes;
  • Experience with security and systems that handle sensitive data;
  • Good knowledge of SQL;
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and domains;
  • English knowledge - from Upper-Intermediate (verbal/written);

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the financial services industry or professional services;
  • Experience with Backbase digital banking platform;
  • Experience with Agile Methodology, such as Scrum and Kanban;
  • Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI);
  • Knowledge of Web Application Security (OWASP) and best practices for writing secure code;
  • Knowledge of persistence frameworks like Hibernate;
  • Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, or NoSQL;
