At GSK, the Clinical Supply Chain organization within MDS is responsible for the timely provision of packed clinical supplies from external operations from Third Party contractors in support of clinical studies across all the GSK R&D pipeline (phases 1-4).
Key Responsibilities:
The team members role in external Packaging Operations consists in:
1. Issuance of Packaging Instructions and provide randomization list to CMO’s
- Issue & communicate packaging instructions
- Ensure that the instructions comply with operational study plan, SAP contracts, internal procedures and quality requirements
2. Review Technical Drawing of Secondary Packaging
3. Review Process Instruction Master file of new pack design
4. Review of contract cancellation
5. Management of Goods Consumption
- Align the consumption of materials and products required for clinical activities in our internal system
6. Participate to weekly status meeting to report status of operational tasks to key stakeholders
- Reflect progression of tasks in our scheduling tool (Neewee), connect with GSK planning, Quality teams and outsourced production CMO’s to ensure tasks are delivered on time & right the first time
6. Inventory Reconciliation
- Reconcile CMO inventories with digital records in our ERP to ensure accuracy on a regular basis
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies in collaboration with relevant teams
- Document and store evidence for audit reasons
7. KPI & performance
- Issue KPI reporting on regular basis
- Understand & explain the gap versus the target
- Propose corrective and preventive actions to maintain performance on target
8. Support SME (subject matter expert) pack to feed process & tool improvement/automation opportunities
9. Ad hoc projects contribution
Why you?
Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Experience of min 7 years in a similar role, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry within R&D environment, GMP and clinical trial supplies
- Professional proficiency in English
- Proficiency with IT tools (SAP and analytics platforms)
- Able to use Microsoft tools (teams, excel, power BI) – intermediate level
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving orientation with continuous improvement mindset
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, dealing with third party contractors and very transversal approach
- Resistant to stress
- Able to cope with multiple tasks & priorities changes
- Able to handle deviation/root cause analysis – Six Sigma orange belt certified would be a plus
