Accounting Spec III

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist III to perform a variety of general accounting support tasks in our East Central accounting department.

What You’ll Do:

• You will compile and oversee accounts payable functions including the processing of invoices and payables inquiry.

• You’ll complete the month end review of payables and analysis of expenses related to work entered.

• You will be responsible for reviewing transactions to ensure proper general ledger coding, supporting documentation and approval.

• You’ll complete daily membership processing duties including new memberships, corrections, or renewal information updates.

• You will maintain master freight related Excel spreadsheet.

• You’ll perform ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

What You’ll Need: 

• 1 - 2 years of progressive and relevant accounting experience with accounts payable emphasis required.

• Accounting degree preferred, or a combination of education and work experience.

• 10-key by touch required.

• Intermediate knowledge on all Microsoft Office software products required.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail required and ability to work with different departments within the organization.

• Experience in business accounting software such as Oracle, Hyperion and SAP helpful.
