About This Opportunity 

Join our dynamic team in the First Nations Cancer & Wellbeing Research (FNCWR) Program and provide crucial administrative support to the Program Lead. You’ll be at the heart of an innovative and community-driven research program that empowers Australia’s First Nations communities to achieve optimal health and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Program Lead’s day-to-day schedule, coordinate meetings, handle incoming correspondence, and ensure seamless communication across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for various inquiries, interpret policies and procedures, and provide essential support to staff, students, government representatives, and community members.

  • Assist with organizing and supporting events, meetings, and engagement activities, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and preparing necessary documentation while ensuring smooth operations.

About You

  • Previous administrative, executive support, or secretarial experience, with the ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.

  • High level of organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise competing work demands and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.

  • Experience working as part of a team in a busy environment, contributing to efficient operations.
