Key Responsibilities:

Strategic and Tactical Sourcing:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies for indirect spend categories which includes end-to-end procurement processes from identifying needs to RFQ, vendor selection, Onboarding, Negotiation & approval as per authority matrix.
  • Improve Purchase efficiency & process optimization in Indirect Purchase through digitalization, standardization of RFQ process, standardization of PO/Contract terms & conditions for specific category of material & services.
  • Establish rate contract for repeat item Purchase & Services, wherever applicable. Also, to establish the rate revalidation process as per the governing timelines.
  • Negotiate contracts with service providers for the upkeep of company facilities, ensuring high standards of service and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Major role player in strategic sourcing & negotiations related to Civil contracts, Customized event Management requirements including marketing spend, Capex, Opex & various services.
  •    Ensure IPC process adherence including IPC MOM, establishment of techno-commercial comparisons (wherever applicable), & compliance as per IPC guidelines.
  • Identify & drive cost-saving initiatives by applying saving levers and improve efficiency, formularize category specific strategy, Supplier consolidation, monitor market trends and external factors to enable optimal purchasing decisions.
  • Build awareness & collaborate with internal stake holders to understand the needs, specifications and requirements, prepare RFQ templates & standardize end to end RFQ process.
  • Monitor & ensure PR to PO, contract sign off as per governing timelines. Ensure timely supplies and support to internal functions effectively and update the status to management through regular MIS.

Supplier Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term, collaborative relationships with suppliers across various indirect spend categories, conduct supplier evaluations, performance reviews, and audits to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with contract terms, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure fairness in dealing with all stake holders & suppliers.
  • Negotiate on service level agreements (SLAs) and contracts.

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Prepare & manage the procurement budget for indirect services, ensuring expenditures are within allocated limits.
  • Identify and monitor cost reduction projects with respective buyers while maintaining high service and quality standards.
  • Prepare MIS, tracking of PRP’s / PIP’s and CPT reports.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Estate, HR, Finance, Quality, and Operations, Maintenance, Capex teams to identify and meet their indirect purchasing needs to derive proper RFQ’s.
  • Provide procurement guidance and support on operational, strategic, and tactical decisions., Risk management & Mitigation.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with corporate governance, procurement policies, and Maintain records of contracts, agreements, and purchases related to indirect services.
  • Ensure the timely processing of RFQ’s, negotiations, approvals, purchase orders and delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

  • BE or B Tech Mechanical / MBA in supply chain Management.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in indirect procurement and service management.
  • Knowledge of ERP / SAP, List of Indirect vendors for various type of Indirect Services, etc.
