Sales position for large accounts in the HP end user organization, specialized in personal systems ( PS ) and solutions for the workplace.
Supports senior account managers on assigned customer sets of commercial accounts across different industries , with responsibility of maximizing sales, thru an end to end opportunities management.
Applies experience of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues, working on sales solutions of medium to complex scope. Exercises independent judgment within defined sales practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies
Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating and owning account plans for commercial accounts during the account planning process.
- Concentrate on deals and opportunities, managing a portfolio of HP products and solutions.
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships with clients, focusing on specialist buyers such as IT professionals.
- Analyze win/loss rates and provide recommendations to improve sales ratios.
- Work with external partners to deliver solution sales and refer HP volume products to other specialists or partners as needed.
- Responsible for achieving and managing sales quotas based on regional guidelines.
- Enter and manage all opportunities in pipeline tools and processes, recommending and implementing pipeline management practices.
- Assist in implementing margin recovery activities and strategies.
- Act as the first point of contact for owned accounts in collaboration with other specialists.
- Contribute to the design of sales policies and strategies for the assigned business segment.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
- No prior experience required; however, internships or coursework related to sales, marketing, or business are a plus.
- Basic understanding of key customer types and HP products (computers, printers, servers, storage).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid understanding of IT and how to align with HP services or product lines.
- Ability to learn and develop partner organization intelligence and management skills.
- Assess solution feasibility from a technical and business perspective.
- Solid negotiation skills and the ability to frame the value proposition for the customer.
- Ability to understand the customer's business issues and translate them into HP solutions.
- Ability to prioritize and drive strategic sales activity on a multi-product or solution basis.
