The Test Center is part of the Technology Division of Accelleron and supports technology, product, and component development as well as product care activities with experimental validations. As a R&D Testing & Laboratory Engineer, you will contribute with testing activities to technology development projects as well as to product development and care projects that enable our customers' journey towards decarbonization and sustainability.
Reporting to the head of Axial Turbocharger Testing, you will execute research as well as validation tests, investigating and resolving critical product issues as well as optimizing processes and test methodologies.
For these tests, you incorporate your knowledge about industry standards and testing methods.
Your work is supported by close collaboration within R&D, product development, service team members and experts from various disciplines. In this exciting opportunity, you can significantly contribute to projects with your creativity, curiosity, and your existing knowledge.
Your responsibilities
Detailed panning of test execution, test sequence, procedures and methods, as well as the required equipment and instrumentation of mechanical and thermodynamic tests.
Planning and implementation of test schedule, allocation of priorities, and responsibilities of assigned resources.
Ensuring a correct assembly of prototypes, and accurate test execution.
Securing a precise analysis and evaluation of measurement data, as well as documentation of the test results for internal and external use.
Autonomous management and handling of test orders on test rigs in the Test Center in Baden and on customers facilities or vessels on-site.
Proposing improvements in existing test methods based on experience and knowledge.

Your background
Bachelor‘s or Master’s degree in relevant field (Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc.).
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in testing of turbomachinery, thermodynamics and measurement technology.
Solution-oriented, autonomous, and proactive working style.
A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn and improve.
Team player, able to communicate to people with different backgrounds and skill sets.
Fluency in German and English.
