Role Overview:

Skills Trainers at LifeStance Health have the opportunity to help people find the resources they need to make their lives better. LifeStance Health Skills Trainers facilitate skills for daily living and community integration among clients who have functional limitations. These services include offering peer development, home organization, employment resources, community engagement, time management and transportation resources.

Compensation: $22-25/hour 

Location: Hybrid - at least 1 day per week in-office, with flexibility to work from any LifeStance Health office in Oregon

Responsibilities:

  • Support adults, youths and/or families who have moderate mental health conditions at our outpatient clinics throughout the greater Portland area

  • Coordinate with a team of other LifeStance healthcare providers

  • Address access to and advocacy for treatment needs based on clients’ mental health diagnosis/es

  • Provide case management and team coordination with outside organizations such as schools, medical providers, Social Security, Vocational Rehabilitation and/or housing authorities.

  • Conduct an assessment of client resource needs, using a strengths-based, client-oriented approach

  • Develop short term goals with each client based on treatment plan

  • Development and practice of coping skills

  • Schedule initial and follow up appointments

  • Document services rendered in a timely manner using company EHR

Skills & Experience:

  • Behavioral science field or 3 years of skills trainer experience

  • QMHA-I or the ability to obtain a QMHA-R upon hire

  • Experience in case management and/or direct service provision preferred

  • Knowledge of technology-based systems including Microsoft Office applications

  • Knowledge of electronic health systems

  • Skill in client engagement

  • Ability to work with limited supervision

  • Ability to operate computers and related equipment

  • Demonstrates awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience in working with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, gender identities, and other various aspects of culture
