Sponsorizzato da CourseraWe are seeking an experienced Software Engineer for SIXGEN, to provide critical support for a variety of federal customers. As a Security Engineer, you’ll work in a unique position at the intersection of software development, binary and network protocol reverse engineering, and large-scale data analysis. This position is located in Woodbridge, VA (4x a week/1 day remote)
SIXGEN supports cyber and intelligence missions by serving government and commercial organizations as they overcome global cybersecurity challenges. Our highly skilled operators conduct research and assessments based on real-world threats. We simulate adversaries and malicious actors to report details and actionable findings on critical assets and infrastructures. Our program planners advise mission owners to bring rapid solutions to intelligence mission leaders. Using innovative processes, tools, and techniques, we predict and overcome cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Our successes are supported by our diverse team of experienced, technical talent. Core Responsibilities:
- Write custom tools in Python, C, JavaScript, and shell script
- Have a good understanding of web, database, and containerization technologies
- Be familiar with basic network protocols and infrastructure
- Be familiar with cursory software package investigation
- Be proficient with Linux command line and associated utilities
- Be proficient with common development tools and environments
- Be familiar with DevOps platforms such as GitLab
- Be prepared to grow and broaden your skillset by supporting efforts outside your current areas of expertise–this is a small team that tackles diverse and interesting set of technical challenges
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, cyber security, or other technical degree or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of standard TCP/IP protocols, experience with Wireshark or comparable tools
- Experience with full-stack web development, mobile development, and/or reverse engineering desirsble
- 3+ years of experience
Additional Details
- Job Location: On-site Woodbridge, VA (4x week; Mon-Thurs) (1x-week remote; Friday)
- Clearance Requirement: Must be US Citizen, minimum TS clearance. Recent CI poly desirable or must be willing to take one
