Patrocinado por BlinkistSMX is looking for a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer with demonstrated experience to perform Software Systems Engineering for the development and sustainment phases of a project relative to mission planning software supporting aircraft and weapons systems.
This role is onsite at the client location in San Diego, CA.
As the Senior Systems Engineer, you will join a team of highly driven, supportive, and skilled professionals engaged in supporting program management, technical, or business case analysis across the NAVAIR community.
The Senior Systems Engineer will:
- Perform Software Systems Engineering for the development and sustainment phases of a project relative to mission planning software supporting aircraft and weapons systems
- Evaluate the impact of new capabilities and/or updated hardware and software on meeting the requirements and the mission performance on support software systems
- Review, develop, and comment on H-60 software requirements during the development and sustainment phases of a project based upon PMA-299 provided information by developing trade-off studies, engineering approach analyses, system implementation analyses, and performing research to provide recommendations
- Make recommendations about human systems engineering
Required Skills and Experience:
- Clearance Required: Secret
- BS or BA degree in a Technical Discipline.
- At least ten (10) years of experience in Systems Engineering consisting of the design, development, integration, and system testing of computer hardware and software in support of DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, DoD mission systems or DoD support systems
- Ability to decompose requirements into technical system and software requirements is required
- Strong communication and presentations skills
- Critical thinking and reasoning skills
- Some travel may be required
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Mission Planning Software, DOORS®, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and agile project development lifecycle is highly desired
- Experience with Systems Software and Systems-of-Systems engineering, model-based systems engineering approaches, and systems safety & reliability is desired
