As we continue to grow our award-winning Signature Line brands (MECCA-Maginations), we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Product Compliance Specialist!
Working alongside the Sustainability & Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining product dossiers, reviewing product artwork, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. You will also support product claims validation and help manage the product compliance system.
As part of MECCA’s sustainability goals (M-PACT), you will assist with the product certification process, verify environmental claims, and ensure the accuracy of product master data.
The Role You Could Play
Collation of product compliance dossiers
Formulation review and support of compliance management system, Centric
Review formulation compliance against relevant AU/NZ and international standards
Manage compliance approvals for product artwork and marketing copy.
Development of product claims substantiation reports and coordination of safety and efficacy testing
Research and reporting on regulatory changes
Support projects that contribute to MECCA M-PACT sustainability goals and reporting.
Oversee the product certification process, including Vegan Society certification.
Maintain sustainability claims verification and Provenance platform.
Ensure accuracy of product and packaging master data, contributing to the APCO packaging report.
Support ad-hoc product development and quality control process
Collaborating with teams including new product development, quality, operations, brand.
What You Will Bring
A keen interest and experience in cosmetics, therapeutics, and personal care.
A relevant qualification in chemistry, engineering, or law.
2–3 years of experience in compliance, product development, or quality within personal care, pharmaceuticals, or food in an FMCG environment.
Strong knowledge of Australian compliance requirements for personal care products, including ACCC and TGA regulations.
An understanding of the NPD stage-gate process and its compliance touchpoints.
A passion for sustainability and a desire to drive positive change.
Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
A creative and solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent relationship-building skills with stakeholders and suppliers.
Strong commercial acumen, communication, and influencing abilities.
A positive, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to work.
Has a hands-on attitude of doing whatever it takes to support the wider team
