Who We Want:
Challenge Mfg. Company’s Internship Program allows students to obtain real world work experience through technical and software exposure. This exposure is granted through individual projects, hands-on tasks on the plant floor, and much more. Challenge Mfg. Company prides itself on giving students a head start on experience in the Automotive Industry to enhance their future. 

We are currently looking for a Program Management Process Support Intern to join our team! 

What You'll Do:

  • Engage and support program launch activities on high workload projects to ensure overall program execution and success
  • Explore opportunities for use of PowerBI to organize reporting and data management (create Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for BOM, component management, supplier approval status)
  • Manage and create Bill of Material (BOM structure) for launch projects
  • Monitor and manage component availability to support re-build activities
  • Participate in early production build activities to gain hands-on experience (e.g., inventory management, part build activities, customer shipments)
  • Assist in creation and development of Toyota related Production Readiness Check (PRC) sheet (will involve cross functional alignment to gain needed supporting documentation)
  • Learn and work within PLEX system, identify potential improvements for linking tooling to parts within PLEX

When and Where:

This position will be located at our Corporate Office in Walker, MI.

What You Need to Have:

  • Must be pursuing a four-year Bachelor’s degree related to Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from a accredited college or university
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 to be considered for the Internship program
  • Must have superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in global manufacturing environment
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
