- Develop and maintain QA/QC procedures, plans, and instructions.
- Conduct internal and external quality audits, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and identifying areas for improvement.
- Review technical documentation, such as manuals, drawings, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Prepare and manage all technical quality documentation, including Quality Plans and reports.
- Perform risk analysis, identifying critical quality tasks and establishing mitigation strategies.
- Assess and improve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) by defining acceptance criteria.
- Follow up on non-conformities (NCRs), developing resolutions and ensuring closure.
- Manage and track the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to improve processes.
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of training, conferences, events and presentations.
- Work with quality management software, particularly Maximo, and proficiently use the Microsoft Office package
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to ensure progress updates are communicated effectively.
- Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Travel occasionally to project sites to support inspections and audits, as required.
Your profile
- At least 3 years of experience in Quality Management, preferably within the maritime/vessel repair sector.
- Hands-on experience reviewing technical documentation and implementing quality control processes.
- Knowledge of welding processes, with certifications such as AWS (American Welding Society) or CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) considered a plus.
- Strong understanding of quality regulations, including : ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems).
- Strong understanding of maritime safety regulations, such as SOLAS and ISM Code (International Safety Management).
- Experience in the development and assessment of Inspection and Test Plans.
- Proficiency in NDT (Non-Destructive Tests) methods.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Maximo software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise quality reports and documentation.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
