Job Summary:
Hope Media Group is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Product to lead our product team in delivering impactful, user-centered digital solutions that drive business growth and align with our mission of inspiring hope through uplifting content. This senior leadership role requires strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills to ensure alignment between product strategy and organizational goals. The Director of Product will collaborate across departments to prioritize opportunities, define strategy, and deliver exceptional products that balance user needs with business outcomes. This position is onsite.
Essential Functions
Leadership:
- Act as a bridge between business, technology, and design teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor a talented product team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with leadership to ensure that product initiatives directly contribute to organizational priorities, revenue goals, and operational efficiency.
Strategic Data Management:
- Establish and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with Hope Media Group’s mission and business objectives.
- Lead the creation and execution of a product roadmap that prioritizes business impact, user value, and long-term innovation.
- Champion a deep understanding of user needs through research, interviews, and data, ensuring products provide value to our audience.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate product success and inform decisions with data.
- Advocate for and implement Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) to ensure efficient workflows, rapid iteration, and continuous delivery.
- Present product strategies, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and audience needs to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
Demonstrated Faith:
- Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be spiritually grounded and Biblically literate.
- Comfortable praying for co-workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies.
- Lives by the Christian principles defined by the Ministry Statement of Faith.
- Participates in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed.
- Has a passion for leveraging the platform of radio for evangelism and discipleship.
- Exhibits a strong moral character.
- Is an active member of a Bible believing local church.

Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, design, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience:
- 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Heart for Christian Ministry
- Strong moral character
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scripture
- Must be an active member of a Bible believing local church
- Strong business acumen with a proven ability to tie product initiatives to organizational goals.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and inspire teams.
- Expertise in product strategy, road mapping, and execution.
- Proven success in leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, user-centered products.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Jira, Aha!)
- A user-first mindset with a strong focus on solving meaningful problems.
- Strategic thinker who can balance short-term goals with long-term innovation.
- Collaborative leader who builds trust and alignment across diverse teams.
- Preferred but not required:
- Experience in the media or nonprofit sectors.
- Familiarity with Hope Media Group’s mission and audience.
- Experience with financial modeling or budget management as it relates to product development.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Immediate supervision of a small group of employees. Recommends candidates for hiring, termination; prepares and conducts performance appraisals and salary reviews and applies company policies.
