Bessemer Trust is seeking a Data Engineering Intern to join its Application Delivery team. As a Data Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our talented team of engineers to develop, enhance, and maintain software solutions that drive our wealth management services. Primary Responsibilities:
- Development: Assist in the design, development, and testing of data solutions, including building pipelines and ETL processes, supporting database modeling and integration, contributing to data quality checks and governance, and preparing datasets for analytics and reporting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, testers, software engineers, AI developers and business areas directly to understand requirements and deliver high-quality data processes.
- Problem Solving: Analyze and report data quality issues, identifying and implementing solutions in a timely manner.
- Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of software development principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with basic database concepts, SQL and Python.
- Analytical Skills: Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and visualize how data flows through complex systems.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work tasks.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following:
- Database systems (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
- Version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Experience or interest in generative AI technologies is a plus

Compensation Information:
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $35.00 - $40.00. Hourly rates will vary and will be based on various factors.
