The role of the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Services Engineer is to work directly with customers (on their site or remotely) to provide training or other services that help the customer to successfully design their electronic products. She/he will act as an expert in one or more Keysight EDA solutions to train or advise customers and internal professionals, and feed back common customer issues to our Portfolio groups so they can improve our solutions or develop new ones. She/he will be expected to help in selling her/his own time and processes. The EDA service engineer will work alongside Solution Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and Solution Engineering Supervisors to provide services, and be measured on billability and customer satisfaction.

• Become an expert on one or more Keysight EDA solutions – in this case the major solutions are SystemVue and related products.
• Work with the Regional EDA Services (your supervisor), CSO managers, Business Development, and Sales to sell your consulting and training services to customers in the region.
• Fully understand the customer’s need before designing or delivering a service.
• Contribute to writing Statement-of-Work (SoW) proposals for service deliveries
• Develop project plans as needed to deliver the service
• Follow-up after delivery to assess customer satisfaction and look for opportunities to help them further

• BS, MS, or PhD EE or equivalent needed – understanding of electronic design
• Experience with system design software such as SystemVue and MATLAB
• Understanding of modern communications systems and standards
• Understanding of phased array and radar systems
• Extensive knowledge of the range of Keysight EDA solutions and how they are used by customers
• Able to communicate at levels from technicians to engineers to managers (internal and customers)
• Excellent communications and presentation skills – especially for training
• Skilled at group facilitation (collocated and remote)
• Able to work well in globally distributed teams
• Ability to travel within the region occasionally (<25%)
