Description

The T-38 Data Manager is responsible for the comprehensive data management program supporting all T-38 Aircrew Training Devices (ATDs). This critical position ensures the integrity, traceability, and accuracy of program documentation throughout the lifecycle of the training systems. The role is located at the DRG Training System Support Center (TSSC), JBSA Randolph AFB, TX, and reports directly to the T-38C Operations Manager. 

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with USAF, DoD, ISO9001:2015 and contractual requirements, including program specific processes, in the performance of Data Management duties and in support of the Configuration Management (CM) program.
  • Create, maintain, update, and disseminate program library documents; TSSC modified documents/drawings, vendor and/or USAF delivered documentation, Program Directives (PDs), forms, and checklists. This includes the management of the programs review/change process and performing technical writing duties.  
  • Perform tracking and recording activities using database applications and standard office programs for documentation of; USG approvals, engineering processes, distribution bulletins, and reports in support of the Data Management and Configuration Management program(s).
  • Maintain the Master and Site Technical Libraries; and follow established documentation processes and requirements to provide archival of all historical program records as required for the life of the contract.
  • Develop and maintain a Microsoft Access database for the version control of program documents, records, manuals, drawings, specifications, etc.  
  • Manage the documentation of approvals for and accomplishment of TSSC tasks in the Training System Change Orders (TSCOs) database. Encompasses a variety of files that are critical to ensure effective control and traceability of all baselines.
  • Prepare data, assembly, compile, format, track and verify the submittal, quality, and timely delivery of contract deliverable reports in accordance with applicable requirements (Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)).
  • Participate in meetings to include recording of meeting minutes and the production of reports, as assigned.

Qualifications


Qualification Requirements:

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and be attentive to details.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment and accuracy.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to read and understand basic components of engineering drawings.
  • Solid knowledge of computers and word processing and database applications.
  • Ability to successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC) by the U.S. Government.

Education or Formal Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum two years of experience in government contracts environment.
  • ISO 9001:2015 experience desirable.

Material and Equipment Directly Used:

  • Software applications: Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, OneDrive, Office 2016 versions of Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Teams, and other similar applications.
