ABOUT THE POSITION

The Office of Court Strategy and Innovation is seeking a Risk Management Administrator to provide strategic leadership in the Court’s enterprise risk management program and oversee all aspects of enterprise risk management including developing and implementing risk control protocols, continuity of operations strategies and risk training exercises, and adherence to regulatory requirements across the Court. For a detailed job description, please click HERE. Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and drive consensus on the Court's risk appetite across functional areas, ensuring that risk thresholds and treatment strategies align with organizational goals and priorities.

  • Direct the development of enterprise-wide risk treatment strategies, prioritizing mitigation actions that address the most significant risks and support long-term organizational resilience.

  • Oversee the identification and implementation of key risk mitigation initiatives, including the coordination of internal and external resources necessary to support effective treatment execution.

  • Monitor the effectiveness of risk treatment strategies through high-level evaluation of KPIs and KRIs, ensuring alignment with the Court’s strategic objectives.

  • Lead the development of enterprise reporting mechanisms to provide transparency into risk treatment status and emerging exposures.

  • Design and implement formal escalation protocols to inform executive leadership of material deviations from approved risk thresholds, enabling timely decision-making at the executive level.

  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on matters related to strategic risk posture, mitigation effectiveness, and organizational risk exposure trends.


This is an at-will managerial position. The Trial Court Employment Protection and Governance Act (SB 2140) authorizes the Court to exclude managerial employees from the employment protection provisions of the Act subject to meet and confer. 

THIS IS A TELEWORK ELIGIBLE OPPORTUNITY

This is a partial telework role, subject to change based upon the needs of the Court.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To qualify, you must meet one of the following options at the time of application:


OPTION I: Bachelor's degree* from an accredited college or university in economics, business administration, public administration, statistics, public policy, or a field related to risk management activities –AND– four (4) years of experience in roles related to risk management for a large, complex organization, including experience managing a team of operational or professional staff.


OPTION II: Eight (8) years of experience in roles related to risk management for a large, complex organization, including experience managing a team of operational or professional staff.

Note: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio (e.g., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Court organization, functions, rules, policies, procedures, and forms.
  • Experience communicating with C-suite executives including delivering presentations, producing reports, and providing regular updates.
  • Master's or other advanced degree.
