The Opportunity
The common Remote Service Platform (cRSP) is a state of the art IoT platform for medium to large scale industrial applications. Key use cases are Remote Servicing, Monitoring and File Transfer. Our platform is used by various big industrial customers to manage, audit and maintain their devices in field in a simple and secure way. The cRSP team is responsible for the development and operation of the platform and is located at the sites Brno (Czech Republic), Konstanz (Germany), Böblingen (Germany) and Vienna (Austria).

Within the File Transfer features of the cRSP, files sent by customer systems are made available for download by portal users and are distributed to registered subscriber servers. Before files are available for download / forwarding they may undergo further processing including virus scanning and file sanitization.  

We are looking for a highly motivated Data Transmission Software Engineer (m,f,d) with strong technical python and Linux skills for the extension of our file transfer team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

• Support our file transfer team with development tasks, day-to-day operations and set up of automated tests
• Troubleshooting of file transfer related issues and monitoring the performance of the file transfer services

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. We need the following knowledge:

• Advanced programming experiences in Java and Python
• Experience with REST interfaces
• Experiences in Python Application Testing (Pytest, Unittest)
• Experiences in parallel programming of performance critical applications
•   (multithreading and processing)
• In-depth knowledge of Linux
• JMS knowledge
• In-depth knowledge of data transfer protocols (ftp, sftp, ..)
• Knowledge of in-memory data bases (e.g. Redis) would be an advantage
• Familiar with tools like: Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Jira, SonarQube

Non-technical skills:

• Willingness to corporate in international, agile teams.
• Being a team player.
