What you'll do:

We are looking for an Identity & Access Management Product Manager to join our Viasat team!

 

In this role, you will work with collaborators and internal teams to shape product vision and requirements! You will facilitate scope definition to execution of a range of initiatives for the IAM product team. In addition, you will help manage the product backlog as well as facilitate support as we evolve the IAM transformation roadmap. You will lead one of many threads responsible for the successful execution of the overall program. These could range from business analysis, data management, testing, financial integrations, segment integrations, conversion, cutover, and hypercare support.

The day-to-day:
  • Own product success through the entire product lifecycle
  • Be diligent against cybersecurity threats to Viasat by ensuring our products and services are secure
  • Instrument telemetry & policy to prevent compromised access, while monitoring for indications of compromise in our systems
  • Identify improvements and new products, demonstrating data, financial metrics, competitive analysis, and customer insights to prioritize and map out strategies
  • Establish a clear product vision and evangelize it through the organization
  • Lead a highly technical team in a diverse environment to success by enabling them to deliver in their areas of expertise
  • Champion an agile way of working, defining clear requirements, and collaborating with all required teams to streamline design, development, and delivery
  • Demonstrate rapid bringing of MVP products to market, using data and customer insights for future iterations and improvements
What you'll need:
  • 5+ years’ experience in technology roles for large/enterprise software companies including Information & Access Management, facilitating executives from technical and business teams
  • 2+ years’ experience with IAM platforms such as Okta, SailPoint, AzureAD, etc.
  • Experience with managing a team
  • Experience leading distributed DevOps, Critical Application, or Identity Management teams operating a 24x7 business-critical environment
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and secure design principles for IAM products and services
  • Experience delivering automated and self-service focused Identity & Identity Governance products to a wide group of consumers operating business-critical workloads
  • Strong understanding in cybersecurity as it relates to delivering secure products & Identities
  • Experience with cloud technologies in any of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
  • Experience with compliance frameworks (SOX, PCI, CMMC, etc.) to ensure the product meets the relevant requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Cyber Security, a related field or equivalent years of experience
  • Ability to come onsite into the Carlsbad office at least 1x per week; hybrid role
  • Up to 10% travel
What will help you on the job:
  • Strong technical background with the ability to lead conversations with experienced engineers about technical design and direction
  • Experience with CI/CD, RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, Agile Release
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to provide regular business updates and encourage a feedback culture so team members can openly express their views and challenges
  • Experience with various product management methodologies such as backlog grooming, burndown charts, velocity, task definition for Agile, but also more transitional Waterfall or KanBan type planning strategies, etc.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to shifting business needs
  • Experience nurturing and sustaining collaborator relationships
  • Strong time management and influencing skills
  • Successful candidates should be able to think strategically and have a proven track record of efficiently completing tasks.
  • An ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and adapt quickly to changing needs

Salary range:$166,000.00 - $262,000.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $206,500.00- $309,500.00/ annually :At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
