Position Mission

The mission of the Assistant Mortgage Loan Production Manager is to provide direction to the mortgage loan processors to ensure that Homewise Lending customers experience customer service that meets or exceeds their expectations.   


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Assistant Mortgage Loan Production Manager is responsible for carrying out the following duties:
  • Lead the Mortgage Loan Processing Team in meeting production, and customer service goals, and ensure that 100% of loans close on the original Purchase Contract Closing Date.   
  • Ensures productive and harmonious relationships with other team members in the Homeownership Department including the Mortgage Loan Officers, Home Purchase Advisors, Home Buyer Coaches, Real Estate Sales, and other departments including      Real Estate Development and Finance to ensure best practices in service provided to customers.
  • Lead the Mortgage Loan Processor team in proactively trouble shooting and resolve customer and  process issues at their source to eliminate repeated instances. Train staff to ensure you have closed the loop on these improvements.  
  • Utilize tracking systems to ensure accountability among MLP staff and adherence to stated goals such as on time closing. 
  • Ensure that staff is qualified and knowledgeable regarding guidelines and policies.
  • Ensures maximum efficiency in the use of Point-Of-Sale (POS) and Loan Origination System (LOS) and integration with other systems as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with all consumer lending laws and regulations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 
  • Minimum of two years demonstrated leadership experience

Work Schedule 

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and/or weekends on occasion.

Physical Requirements

  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. 
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to maneuver around various client business offices and workspaces.
