Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.What you'll do...About the Team :Enterprise Business Services is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, Associate Digital Experience and Trust & Transformation.Our team – Risk Technology - is responsible for providing technology solution to ensure Walmart ‘Follows the Rules’ in the context of Government Regulation and Compliance.As part of Financial Services Compliance, our team is responsible for design, development, and operations of large-scale data systems and store facing real-time applications. We focus on creating pipelines, curating and aggregating huge data, distributed data processing infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. We interact with multiple teams across the company to provide scalable robust technical solutions.This role will focus on building responsive APIs, data pipelines and data interface around vendor products. A strong understanding of creating workflow is needed. This role will assist in building microservices on cloud, data engineering design leveraging standard data warehousing techniques and functional programming techniques.What you'll do:
- You are responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the demands of Walmart home office users and suppliers across the world.
- Perform root cause analysis on incidents, data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
- Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
- Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome product features to keep platform ahead of market scenarios.
- Closely interact with Engineers from within Walmart to identify right open-source tools to deliver product features by performing research, POC/Pilot.
- Engage with Product Management and Business to support and build data solutions and develop expertise. Have a firm understanding of the data itself with the functional/business context
- You will show your skills in analysing and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance.
- Software security is of prime importance and by developing programs that monitor sharing of private information, you will be able to add tremendous credibility to your work.
- You will also be required to have fair understanding in data governance aspects.
- You will be called upon to support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all employees are confident in the use of software applications.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
- Over all 7-12 years of object-oriented programming experience in Core Java and/or building microservices. Hands on and strong experience in SQL queries. Strong computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
- Strong Design skills. Solid understanding on architecture and design patterns
- Good knowledge of Cloud Architecture, Microservice Architecture and related stacks (12 factor app)
- Good understanding and hands on experience in API development using Java, NodeJS, etc
- Strong understanding in database systems and fluent in advanced SQL querying
- Strong hands on experience in CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins, etc.
- Large scale distributed systems experience, including scalability and fault tolerance.
- Strong in writing modular and testable code and test cases (unit, functional and integration) using frameworks like Junit, Cucumber, Selenium, etc
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS
- A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate and optimize systems and tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving, Critical and Analytical thinking skills.
- Experience working in DevOps environment. Owning the production environment and experience in managing the productionenvironment you build
- Good to have experience in Financials Services Compliance domain – Anti Money Laundering, Fraud interdiction, etc.
