What you’ll be doing
You’ll be joining Simplii as Senior Manager Finance Operations and Automation reporting to Senior Director, Simplii Operations. You are responsible for daily reconciliation, accounting and reporting functions as well as managing and balancing the Bank/s Ledger accounts including Automated Banking Machines (ABM), Point of Sale (POS), Remote Banking (RB) and 30 other Suspense Accounts for Simplii. Automation, you’ll be hands-on with all aspects of Prepare in-depth queries, designing, writing and execute queries by the team members in production using Micro Focus UFT One 2021 (Unified Functional Testing) Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber tools, Knowledge of SAS (Statistical Analysis System) Programming or similar programs to facilitate various automate operations activities.

How you'll succeed
Data integrity - Balance the Bank functions on managing reconciliation of suspense accounts used by RCS (Retail Client Services), RPS (RETAIL PAYMENT SERVICES) and Operational Risk units. This involves resolution of outstanding items in the suspense.
Testing expertise - Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities by the team for various projects across the business.. Document test processes and results, ensuring through reporting and traceability.
Analysis - Manage Daily, monthly and Financial Year end activities - including critical review of journal entries and financial results. Provide proactive communication of variances/issues and ensure accounting is completed timely and accurately.
Leadership skills - Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems. Proactively identify any potential issues suggest possible improvements or enhancements. Develop imaginative solutions and new ways of thinking about situations, problems and opportunities. You can conduct research and root cause analysis, analyze trade offs between usability, performance and key business objectives. You can develop models and ‘what if’ scenarios to demonstrate the range of options available to management, by presenting optimal solutions.
Coordination - Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to project’s timeline.
Compliance - Ensure Finance SOX controls (including suspense accounts) are effective and performed on regular basis to identify/manage exposure to risks, escalating issues as appropriate. Follow Records Management procedures to store digital documents and archive for future reference.
Automation and Engineering - Automation Team in not only the maintenance of existing packages but also the evaluation, design and implementation of new automation technologies, frameworks, DevOps products and techniques; Planning and forecasting of team capacity. You will be working with cutting-edge Automation Tools and overseeing improvements in the toolsets to drive Transformation.
Who you are
You are experienced in software development testing, automation and process improvement principles. 5+ years of hands-on experience in an automation testing lead position and a proven track record of process improvement. You have in-depth knowledge and experience in automation tools and frameworks like Microfocus UFT/Selenium/ Robot/ Quantum, software development experience in Java, Python, VBScript, writing and executing SQL queries. You also have experience in API testing. It is an asset if you have prior experience in Microsoft Power BI and SAS (Statistical Analysis System).
