OmniOn Power is looking for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) as part of our expansion plans for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. The RSM is responsible for success in a region, expressed in terms of increased customer engagement and effective sales of standard /custom power products within targeted applications. The RSM will work closely with our partners and maintain relationships with key players at strategic accounts. This position will also be focused on driving a specific segment in order to drive our diversification efforts within the region. The RSM is role will be based in Switzerland and will report to the EMEA Region Leader.
Job responsibilities (these are but are not limited to the following):
- Implement defined strategies and tactics to achieve budgeted sales and targeted new account acquisition quota.
- Lead strategic sales initiatives to grow the region and or segment, forecast revenue and initiate new business development.
- Acquire, manage and motivate distribution partners and/or Independent Manufacturer Representatives within the assigned territory.
- Establish and build professional relationships with Key Accounts.
- Prepare, recommend and negotiate pricing, terms and conditions for quotations (RFQ's) blanket agreements and contracts for management approval.
- Work closely with the FAE assigned to the segment and in conjunction with Marketing and Engineering teams, create effective proposals and RFP/RFQ responses that identify prospects’ needs and requirements and outline our solution and value proposition.
- Proactively manage and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction within region and existing account base.
- Drive on-going, proactive qualification, management and progression of sales leads and prospects.
- Coordinate the resolution of customer concerns, complaints and corrective actions.
- Provide local training and technical applications support to representatives and customer base.
- Travel extensively to customers, prospects, and to manufacturer’s reps in order to drive additional new business as well as attend trade shows and other market/industry events and possibly acquire speaking engagements.
- Maintain the SalesForce.com database of opportunities and contacts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial sales role in the power industry with 3 years minimum with a designated territory.
- The successful candidate should be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Position requires the ability to travel within the region an average of 70% of the time during a typical workweek.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in Electrical or Electronics.
- Fluency in German, French, Italian or Spanish preferred.
- Experience in industrial applications like broadcasting, manufacturing, robotics, automation, semiconductor test equipment.
- Understanding of DC Power architectures for Communications, Data center, and industrial markets.
- Experience working within a consultative sales process.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to negotiate with, and influence customers regarding major sales campaigns.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence other.
- Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact while coordinating several projects simultaneously.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills with proven analytical and organizational ability.
- Proficient with Microsoft office programs and Salesforce.com.
- Tenacity, flexible, and a customer-focus.
