Your Role:
Magnet Forensics is on the lookout for a Director, Engineering to lead the Artifact & Cloud Acquire Team within R&D. Managing a team of Engineering Managers, Technical Managers, Project Managers and/or senior individual contributors, the Director, Engineering oversees all engineering projects and initiatives in their portfolio. This role involves both strategic and technical responsibilities, ensuring that projects align with the company's goals and are completed efficiently.
What You Will Accomplish:
· Leadership and Team Development: Recruit, lead, mentor, and inspire a team of talented software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Provide continuous feedback to leaders and teams on what is working well and what can be improved.
· Project Management: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards while effectively managing resources and budgets. · Strategic Planning: Design strategies for future development projects based on the company’s overall objectives and resources.
· Department Improvements: Continue to build and expand the organization culture as is needed.
What We Are Looking For:
We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”. It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have ‘been there, done that”. We want to be part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us.
There are a couple must haves, but we will keep that list short:
· BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience in a technical field;
· Minimum of 10-12 years of experience managing a driven engineering team with innovative products;
· Excellent leadership and people management skills;
· Strong communication and analytical skills;
