The Sr. Developer is responsible for supporting Principal Engineers in the design and development of Get Real Health’s/CPSI product offerings. The Sr. Developer will interface directly with customers, support project engagements, research and work collaboratively with Get Real Health’s team members to ensure product and engineering efforts are directed and supportive of corporate and client initiatives.
Essential Functions: In addition to working as prescribed in our Performance Factors specific responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead brainstorming sessions and identify areas for software development life-cycle improvements.
- Liaison with offshore develop team manager to prepare solution approaches and ensure requirements are met.
- Communicate with technical teams, business teams, and clients at a level appropriate to the audience in both written and verbal formats.
- Work in collaboration with program management, business development, strategists, technologists and delivery organization team members to identify solutions that meet the needs of Get Real Health’s/CPSI clients.
- Partner with Product to develop a roadmap to align with corporate and client objectives.
- Ensure that Get Real Health/CPSI product offerings are supported by extensive technical documentation and refine and optimize any prototypes as required.
- Maintains knowledge of technologies, industry trends, standards and design techniques to support Get Real Health’s/CPSI product development.
- Provides input on implementation status and changes to schedules or estimates.
- Conducts research and case studies in leading edge technologies and makes determinations on the probability of implementation.
- Technical leadership role working with US and India based scrum teams to translate business requirements into detailed architectures and designs, and oversee software development.
- Document all technical requirements and design technical solutions utilizing enterprise architecture standards including documenting all solution components and configurations.
- Support test planning, security, usability, and system integration.
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Experience/Certification Requirements
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
- Must be detail oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution.
- Must be able to act both independently and as a team member.
- Availability to work with teams in ET and CT time zones.
- Occasional travel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Computer Science and 8+ years’ experience in the Information Technology or Engineering arena including hands-on software development, system architecture and design.
- 6-8 years of experience with hands-on software design and development
- Demonstrated experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development life cycle
- Expertise in Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, Angular/React, Microsoft Azure desirable
- Experience with healthcare integrations and use of standards like FHIR, IHE and CDAs
- Experience implementing solutions with OAuth, OpenID and SAML
- Ability to talk to business users to understand the requirements and ask the right questions to build an effective solution.
- Strong experience in system design, database design and data modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to a broad range of audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
- Experience managing engineering teams (Agile software development)
