The Clinical Trial (CT) Supply Chain Associate Director will provide operational leadership of clinical supply chain data, systems, and processes to drive operational excellence and meet Product Delivery (PD) business goals. They will be responsible for driving robust, strategic discussions across Clinical Supply and Delivery and Clinical Design Development and Analytics (CDDA) to improve performance and speed drug development.
Key Responsibilities:
o Deliver improved clinical trial supply chain performance, assess, mitigate risk, and perform portfolio analyses through robust data and metrics analysis.
o Lead and ensure operational excellence in Clinical Demand & Operations Planning (CD&OP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP/DRP) in SAP.
o Demonstrate supply chain systems, data, and functionality to drive improvement plans.
o Drive standardization and improvements in service, efficiency, cost, and metrics
o Lead projects to improve data, process, performance, and business practices.
o Lead or support innovation and process optimization to speed drug development.
o Influence and provide support for PD short and long-range planning including both operational and strategic business goals.
o Lead or support improvement in supply chain and planning capabilities.
o Educate PD personnel on supply chain tools and principles.
o Develop and maintain best in class planning processes, onboarding tools, training and development programs.
o Lead industry standards sharing/adoption.
o Understand impact of planning and execution to Product Delivery and Business Unit/Research budgets and influence cost drivers.
o Maintain external focus related to CT supply chain methodologies and operations.
o Create, review, and/or approve appropriate documents outlined in business processes.
o Maintain GMP/GCP compliance.
o Reach across boundaries and integrate information from external and internal collaborators to bring together diverse perspectives and solutions in CT supply.
o Foster an environment of integrated teamwork via shared learning, accountability, influencing others without authority.
o Support portfolio supply chain work as business needs dictate.
o Maintain ownership and emphasis on quality. Demonstrate engagement and employ a quality mindset in all endeavors by proactively identifying quality issues, perform change controls, lead investigations, and communicate appropriately.
o Lead or participate in special projects as needed for the business (process improvement/innovation projects, Master Scheduler activities, etc.)
Educational Requirements:
o Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of supply chain experience
Experience Requirements:
o 5 years work experience in supply chain management or supply chain planning is preferred
o Experience with SAP is strongly preferred.
o Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint software skills
o Strong data analysis and problem-solving experience
o Demonstrated ability to effectively partner/influence cross functionally to deliver results
o Demonstrated formal or informal PM expertise (timeline, scope, budget, risk management)
o Demonstrated problem-solving skills for complex issues
o Experience setting and implement strategies and plans to improve processes and capabilities
o Exceptional organizational skills, collaboration and communication skills.
o Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and make decisions in the absence of an obvious answer/approach
Additional Preferences:
o Degree in business, supply chain, health care or scientific field.
o Experience with clinical supply demand management tools (such as forecasting, planning, IRT)
o Clinical trial development experience
o Knowledge of investigational product requirements including GCP and GMP requirements
o Experience in supply chain and/or inventory management systems planning
o Licenses or Certifications: such as APICS, Supply Chain Certificate (via MBA or specific university program), PM Certification
Language Requirements: Must speak and write fluent English
Additional
o Domestic and international travel may be required (10%)
o Work outside of core hours may be required to support the portfolio across the globe

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$111,000 - $162,800Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
