Summary of Position

Jabil Austin IT Support team needs an intern to assist with general IT support, operations, and projects.

Intern Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring the IT ticket queue and resolve tickets in a timely manner
• Follow all corporate, regional, and local governance and security policies.
• Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the department and encourage input from team members.
• Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e., modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems, instituting automation)
• Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; properly prioritizing issues dynamically.
• Execute all assigned duties

Qualifications

• Major(s): Computer Science, Information systems, or any other related majors welcome
• Class Year(s): Rising Sophomore, Rising Junior, 1st Year Graduate Student
• GPA: Min 3.0
• Availability: Must be available to work in Austin, TX, from May 19, 2025 – Aug 8, 2025
• Technical Skills: Exposure to reporting software and software automation techniques
• Programming experience in Python, Mendix, PHP, or SQL
• Effective communication skills
• Self-starter – Ability to drive work
• Skills: Agility, Building Trusting Relationships, Decision-Making Skills, & Resilience
